Em 1997 todos ouviam seu maior sucesso: Torn. Neste ano, Natalie Imbruglia completou 40 anos e resolveu celebrar com um novo álbum... e também com um creme anti-envelhecimento, o qual ela mesma divulga! By Alastair Peel

February 4th marked the 40th birthday of Natalie Imbruglia. The Australian singer and actress has announced the release of a new album. It will be her first in six years. Called Male, it will present her covering tracks made famous by male-lead acts, and will be released on July 28.

As her surname suggests, Natalie Imbruglia is of Italian origin. Her father’s family were from Lipari, in Sicily, while her mother’s family have British and Irish {tip text="antepassados" title=" ancestry "} ancestry {/tip}. It was a major international hit and was one of the {tip text="hinos" title=" anthems "} anthems {/tip} of the 1990s, but Natalie said that “The success of “Torn” was a bit too much for me. {tip text=" apesar" title=" In spite "} In spite {/tip} of her success as a singer, Natalie has always expressed a desire to act. She hasn’t appeared in many films, but she gave an excellent performance in the 2003 Rowan Atkinson comedy Johnny English. Recently she has been taking acting lessons. She has even moved from London to Los Angeles, {tip text=" na esperança" title=" in the hope "} in the hope {/tip} of getting parts in movies. Last year she had a role in the film Among Ravens.

In 2003 Natalie married another Australian musician, Silverchair guitarist Daniel Johns, but they divorced in 2008. Natalie is known to suffer from depression and she once said, “People often say, ‘What’s she got to be depressed about?’” She has also said, “If I start feeling down I’ll eat pasta. It’s the Italian {tip text="sangue" title=" blood "} blood {/tip} in me.”
