The Tell-Tale Heart was first published in 1843. Edgar Allan Poe was only 40 when he died in 1849, but his chilling stories are still popular today. They have inspired many films. The latest example is the animated feature, Extraordinary Tales, which received its US (and On Demand) release last month. It recreates five of Poe’s most famous stories, including The Tell-Tale Heart and The Fall of the House of Usher. If you watch the film in English you will be able to hear some wonderful “horror” narrators from the past, such as Roger Corman, Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee.
