Revista Speak Up capa 255

This month your magazine pays two visits to three different places. In the U.S., we go to South Dakota on the occasion of the Harley-Davidson Sturgis Rally and also for a look at the Crazy Horse Memorial – two not completely different remembrances. In southwest Ireland we get amazed twice, with (male) dolphin Fungie and with beautiful (female) Irish Rose of Tralee contestants. And in New Zealand Thais takes a closer look at study opportunities for Brazilians, while Julian observes the increasingly strong Maori influence in the life of that nation – quite a lesson in healthy politics, actually, so again not that different from educational opportunities. Another two-sided look Speak Up offers in this issue is about books. On one hand, Wales comes up with yet another book town, Blaenavon. But on the other hand, William Sutton argues that books could be going to end. Just in case William is right, your magazine has decided to present a book chapter for you to keep, and this one is of a rather different style, for which we ask your comments and suggestions, because the subject of this chapter could well be dedicated to all books and to you, too, dear reader, that is, a big powerful Thank You!

Karl Kepler
