Edição Histórica 277
Joss Stone has turned 23 years old, but became a success much earlier in life. Speak Up has also turned 23 (last edition), and hopefully continues its successful run as Brazil’s favorite English magazine for a long time to come (ok, we did have some ups and downs through the years, but anyway). What’s the secret of Speak Up’s success? Maybe we have a two-sided approach to subjects, but does it compare to Al Jazeera? On the one hand, our magazine has strong roots in nature, like the tree house-dweller and wild horses. While on the other, new technologies like e-readers are always innovating, and soon might reach this magazine as well. These two sides should help us be as successful as Meryl Streep and Steve Martin. But what comes next for us to report on? John Peter’s big day? Troubles for airlines? Only God knows. Some mysteries lie buried in the past, like the Garden of Eden or Jack the Ripper’s identity. Hopefully, though, they won’t be simply another example of bad science. Let’s find out together, happy reading!
